The inspiration for the prefix Roverrandom came from a book Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien. In the book a small white and black dog called Roverandom has many adventures, he flies to the moon on the back of a seagull and goes to meet a wizard at the bottom of the sea. To my mind such adventures could only happen to a Jack Russell Terrier.

Despite its small stature (25 to 30 cm in height) the Jack Russell Terrier is an very active dog physically and mentally. It needs to be excersised and trained from early on. Because a bored Jack will destroy your home and furniture as well as your peace of mind but on the other hand if you value independence, cleverness and versatility in your dog then JRT is the dog for you. Life is very often challenging when jacks are around but on the plus side no day is alike.

My aim is to breed Jack Russell Terrier of good disposition and health and who conform to the breed standard. All Roverrandom JRTs are registered in the Finnish Kennel Club (affiliated with FCI). All JRTs used for breeding are checked for patella luxation and hereditary eye diseases.
